One line carries the whole system.خطّ واحد يحمل النظام كلّه.

A system like this is many screens. The film needed one thing the eye could follow through all of them, so a single gold thread does the work: it prints a tag, orders the stock, moves a piece between branches, sells it, raises the report and waits for the owner's decision.نظام كهذا شاشات كثيرة. واحتاج الفيلم شيئًا واحدًا تتبعه العين عبرها كلّها، فتولّى ذلك خيط ذهبيّ واحد: يطبع بطاقة، ويرتّب المخزون، وينقل قطعة بين الفروع، ويبيعها، ويرفع التقرير، وينتظر قرار المالك.

The colours follow the brand: black and gold, then the system's white world lit in gold, then black and gold again. The thread always enters from the right and leaves to the left, the reading direction of Arabic.الألوان من العلامة: أسود وذهبيّ، ثم عالم النظام الأبيض بضوء ذهبيّ، ثم أسود وذهبيّ من جديد. والخيط يدخل دائمًا من اليمين ويخرج إلى اليسار، اتّجاهَ القراءة العربيّة.

Everything on screen is AlBayan's own: the arch and the four-point star of its logo, the piece tag with a real Code 128 barcode and a check-digit-valid number, and the app's page titles as reliefs in the surface.وكلّ ما على الشاشة من البيان نفسه: قوس شعاره ونجمته الرباعيّة، وبطاقة القطعة برمز Code 128 حقيقيّ ورقم صحيح خانةَ التحقّق، وعناوين صفحات التطبيق نقشًا في السطح.

Built in stages, each one checked.بُني على مراحل، وكلّ مرحلة فُحصت.

Measure before imitatingالقياس قبل التقليدThe camera language of a reference film was measured shot by shot and turned into written rules: how a shot enters, drifts and leaves. Rules, not impressions.قيست لغة الكاميرا في فيلم مرجعيّ لقطةً لقطة وصارت قواعد مكتوبة: كيف تدخل اللقطة وكيف تنجرف وكيف تخرج. قواعد لا انطباعات.
Agree the look on stillsالاتّفاق على المظهر بصور ثابتةThree stills of one unit were approved before a single frame was animated.اعتُمدت ثلاث صور ثابتة لوحدة واحدة قبل تحريك أيّ إطار.
One book, one contractكتاب واحد وعقد وصلFrame counts, thread direction, brightness at every join and the materials were written down and binding, so seven scenes built separately cut together as one film.عدد الإطارات واتّجاه الخيط والسطوع عند كلّ وصلة والخامات كُتبت وأُلزمت، فالتأمت سبعة مشاهد بُنيت منفصلةً فيلمًا واحدًا.
Motion first, quality lastالحركة أوّلًا والجودة آخرًاEvery iteration ran on 640×360 previews at about half a second per frame. The full-quality render happened once.كلّ تكرار جرى على معاينات 640×360 بنحو نصف ثانية للإطار. والتصيير الكامل جرى مرّة واحدة.
Measure the joinsقياس الوصلاتCamera speed, brightness step and the thread's position were measured at every cut; one round of fixes followed.قيست سرعة الكاميرا وفرق السطوع وموضع الخيط عند كلّ قطع؛ وتلتها جولة إصلاح واحدة.
Sound, chosen by earصوت يُختار بالأذنEach sound was auditioned alone, over its shot and inside the mix before it entered the film.كلّ صوت سُمع وحده، ثم فوق لقطته، ثم داخل المزيج، قبل أن يدخل الفيلم.

The look testتجربة المظهر

Before the film had a story, one unit of it was built and rendered as three stills. The look was approved here; the motion was not, and that verdict is what sent the work back to measure motion first.قبل أن يكون للفيلم قصّة، بُنيت وحدة واحدة منه وصُيّرت ثلاث صور ثابتة. اعتُمد المظهر هنا؛ والحركة لم تُعتمد، وهذا الحكم هو ما أعاد العمل إلى قياس الحركة أوّلًا.

The film has no music by design. What you hear is the material itself: the thread running, paper tags flicking and landing, switches, air at the cuts, and the room.الفيلم بلا موسيقى عن قصد. ما تسمعه هو المادّة نفسها: جريان الخيط، ونقر البطاقات الورقيّة وهبوطها، والمفاتيح، والهواء عند القطعات، والمكان.

The sound follows the picture frame by frame: the thread's level rises with its speed and it moves left and right with it. The recordings are licensed, and each sound was approved by ear.الصوت يتبع الصورة إطارًا بإطار: يعلو مستوى الخيط بسرعته ويتحرّك معه يمينًا ويسارًا. والتسجيلات مرخَّصة، وكلّ صوت اعتُمد بالأذن.
